A tour of the photo exhibition in Old City has assured us that the art of photography does exist in Azerbaijan… We took note of Sanan Aleskerov’s contact details from the gallery’s management and we decided to call him on the weekend. It was evident from his biography at the gallery that he had a long successful career and it was going to be a curious week for us till we meet him.

“Azerbaijan Painters Union” is organizing an exhibition starting from today ( 23/06/08 ). 11 artists from Azerbaijan and 2 artists from Turkey will be participating.

Exhibition takes place in “Muasir Incesanat Merkezi / Center of Contemporary Art” between 23 - 27 June.
